Virtual learning systems hacked at Walled Lake Consolidated Schools

WALLED LAKE, Mich. (WXYZ) — A hacker shut down systems in Walled Lake Consolidated Schools.

The district had been conducting classes virtually.

The superintendent sent an email out Sunday night saying email cannot be sent or received, and internet access, along with access to network drives, is down.

Skyward Family Access, where parents can see their child’s grades, attendance, lunch payment and balance information, is also down.

The district has alerted authorities, the superintendent said.

Classes are set to continue Monday as they are conducted through Zoom and Google Classroom.
