Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, September 9, 2020:
The stalled out frontal boundary that has been nearby the last several days will likewise be in the area today. Also like the last few days, it should have little to no noticeable impact on the day.
Despite the presence of the front, skies will be very sunny today. A few passing fair-weather clouds are possible, but don’t expect to see too many.
Rain will not fall in the region today, either.
Winds will be from the south most of the day as the front remains to the north. Speeds will be light, at or under 5 mph. Top gusts will only reach about 15 mph.
The front will come close to Cortland County late in the day, so winds over the northern part of the county could turn to the north.
Highs should push into the mid 80s this afternoon. It will be on the muggy side as well, with dewpoints in the 60s.
Skies will remain clear early tonight, but clouds will increase overnight. Temperatures should hold at or above 65 degrees.
